Welcome to STAAG, St. Andrews Adventure Group. We are a student-run society at the University of St. Andrews, founded in 2007. In the past eight years we have become a well established society, running many challenges and adventures, as well as winning ‘Best Society 2013’ and ‘(2nd) Best Society 2015’ along the way.
STAAG has driven from St Andrews to Mongolia in an ambulance and a pick-up, crossed the African continent by bike, canoed across Scotland, gone down the River Thames by pedalo, and much, much more. STAAG joins adventure, challenge, adrenaline and charity. Through our many expeditions we support various local and international organisations.
If you have an idea for an adventure, we are here to help you make it happen. We also run a number of annually recurrent trips, open to all adventurous students, and if you’d just like to share stories and have a chat with like-minded people, come along to our socials, during which a wacky idea or two is also likely to emerge. You can also get in touch with us at the bottom of this page.
